The Kearney Symphony Orchestra began over 100 years ago in 1905. George N. Porter, the first conductor of the Kearney Area Symphony began a tradition that has lasted throughout the years. KSO is a well-organized team of musicians that show extreme professionalism. Over the years, KSO has collaborated with other performance groups to present operas, musicals, oratorlos and large choral works. Today, the name has changed to Kearney Symphony Orchestra, but with Dr. Ron Crocker as the director, this musical tradition continues. |
